6 WEEKS

Hey! So it has been 6 whole weeks since my first day with A.I.S. Its mad! time has just flown by! it will soon be christmas. . . so the las couple of weeks have been good, but very tireing! I have finnished my FA levle 1 badge whic was on of the major + of the last couple of weeks.

I have moved host familys this last week as the Socal surves are not happy with me liveing under the same roof as Jenny (steve's foster daughter) this sucked at first as I had really settled in there! BUT Its actully worked out for the better as I have now moved in with Mike, Jane and Emma Walton, they are locals who go to Chelwood Baptist Church, My new house is right in the center of Chedal Humme, its amazing as it is now so much quicker to get everywere! :) Sorry it has taken me so lond to post suxch a brief post. I will be wrigting another soon as I have a spare minuet or so.

God bless.

You can’t even see the stars when you look up at night, just a huge red smog.

I will be writing another soon! after my next week here! :) speak to you all soon! Josh.
Hey! So I am coming to the end of my third week here in Manchester with A.I.S. It has been a fun yet very tiring couple of weeks! For the last couple of weeks I have been travailing to Bolton everyday for “BOOT CAMP” which is a two week training program that all interns have to undergo.
Here a picture of all the other Interns. From left to right. Mike (Only met once as he is doing his Intern in South Africa) Dan Nottingham, Liam Whitell, Josh Drury, Me, Helena Lowe.
This was an amazing opportunity as we had John Squires a Uefa A licences coach teaching us. (For those who don’t talk football that is the best you can get.) He is also the Director of training here at A.I.S. We also had biblical teaching from the one and only Dave Oakley, which was amazing as well. Dave is the current C.E.O of Ambassadors,
So through out the couple of months I will be getting involved with the A.I.S schools work and the Hope FC side of things as well, So most days I am in a primary school’s teaching P.E to all year groups, this involves a lot of practicing of getting in a line and being quiet.
The Hope FC side of things involves going on to estates and coming along side lads on the estate and playing football and sharing a gospel message afterwards. I enjoy this side of my work more because I don’t constantly have to yell at the top of my voice!

I am really enjoying my time here so far and most if not all aspects of my new job. I still haven’t got use to living in the city again, and going from living on a road you struggle to find on a map to living on the side of the A6 is a heck of a change, you can’t even see the stars when you look up at night, just huge red smog. I loved living in the city having grown up in Bristol but now miss the country side and the freedom of that so much.

One week in.

Hey! So I am coming to the end of my first week here in Manchester with A.I.S, It has been a fun yet very tiring week! So through out the week I have been getting involved with the work A.I.S do, So Monday I Arrived and unpacked. . .  fun and kind of exiting to start. I am living with a family in Offertion, just outside Stockport.
There are 3 people I live with now, Steve, (who is also the pastor of my new church) Carolyn his wife and Jenny there foster daughter.

I have settled in well and have enjoyed my time here so far. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday I was in schools teaching P.E to a variety of age groups ranging from 5 to 12. Wednesday was the best day as we spent the whole time teaching the kids how to line up in a "strait and quiet line" which I still think they can't do despite ,y best efforts. Friday I had the whole day off but had to work in the evening, We went onto a estate full of council houses and ran a 5-a-side football tournament which was so fun to run but i did learn a whole new vocabulary of "curse words" witch wasn't so good. today I had the whole day of which was nice! I went and watch the football team I have Just signed for play, we won 8-1 which I have been assured won't happen again apparently.

So I hope you enjoyed my second post! there will be more to come as i find out my schedule and have more to wright about! :)

Goodbye for now!

Two days before I start with AIS

Hello

I have spent the last 2 hours trying to work out if I have set this up right so if not forgive me but for now its going to have to do! :)

So it is 2 days before I start with AIS (Ambassadors In Sport) I am very nerves and exited to start, after a long summer of Mission trips, weddings, work, and football I am very tired but at the same time have never felt so alive. I am still in Canada at the minuet and don't actually start till the 20th this month but i figured i should get started on this blog thing!

I hope people like this and anyone who may come across this please recommend this to anyone who may want to here about the work I will be doing and my day to day life, I plan to blog twice a week so hopefully should you should all be kept up to date.
